    Is the program really free?

    Yes. There is no cost to participate—no tuition, no fees. Just your time and commitment.

    Who can apply?
  • Be 18–59 years old
  • Have legal work status
  • Hold a GED or high school diploma
  • Be able and willing to work full-time
  • Live within 1 hour of campus
  • Not receive Adult SSI/SSDI benefits
  • Not have an open legal case that may interfere
  • Not apply with a spouse, parent, sibling, or child
  • Do I need to already know what career I want?

    No. You’ll explore options during the first six weeks of personal development before committing to a specific track.

    What kind of careers do you train for?

    It varies by cohort. Most tracks lead to entry-level certifications or jobs in fields like healthcare (CNA), skilled trades, and office support. Each participant selects one skill track.

    Do you offer childcare?

    Yes—but only on Wednesday nights during our weekly Family Gatherings.

    Can I do this program online or part-time?

    No. This is a full-time, in-person program with required attendance Monday–Thursday and Wednesday evenings.

    Can I join with a family member?

    No. We don’t allow spouses, parents, siblings, or children to enroll in the same cohort.

    Do you offer childcare?

    Yes—but only on Wednesday nights during our weekly Family Gatherings.

    Do you accept applicants with a criminal background?

    Yes. We consider all applicants. Some felonies may limit which skill tracks are available to you.

    What’s the weekly schedule like?
  • Mon–Thurs: 9 AM – 1 PM (Classes or career training)
  • Wed Nights: 6 – 8 PM (Family Gathering)
  • Offsite training or CNA tracks may have different hours
  • Do you follow a school calendar?

    Mostly. We align closely with the LISD calendar—except for summer cohorts.
